Tribal and nomadic rugs

Knotted by the nomadic tribes of Iran, mainly the Qashqai and the Luri, these rugs embody a free and spontaneous aesthetic. What sets them apart is their plant-based colours: the wool is dyed with plants, roots and minerals such as madder, indigo, saffron or walnut husk. The motifs are simple and symbolic, the shades deep and alive. Rugs that bring warmth and character to a room at once.

Woven kilims and embroidered soumaks

These are flat-woven rugs, without knots or pile. The kilim draws its geometric motifs directly into the weave, which gives it that graphic, light quality. The soumak is an embroidered variant, denser, where the threads wrap around the warp to create a sturdier embroidered look. An aesthetic at once traditional and resolutely contemporary.
